PlayDate's annual Sensory Friendly Trunk or Treat promotes a safer and more inclusive celebration of the traditional Halloween festivity. We will be hosting a no-cost Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 14, 2023, from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. All ages and abilities are welcome!
Our event understands that individuals with disabilities of all ages may struggle or be excluded from typical trick-or-treating due to: social skills, physical accessibility, communication, allergies, etc. PlayDate provides an environment with no harsh lights nor sounds, and many treats delivered in accordance with the Teal Pumpkin Project (non-edible, e.g. stickers, bubbles, etc.).
Guests and their families can also use our Sensory Friendly Trunk or Treat to practice the skills associated with trick-or-treating before the big day! Our Trunk or Treat is a family-friendly event and we encourage siblings to participate as well! Participants of all ages are welcome to join us for Trunk or Treating, games, crafts, activities, and much more!

This is a community event, so families and businesses host a trunk and provide candy to pass out to our Black Forest Trunk-Or-Treaters. Thank you to all of those that participate to spread Halloween cheer to our local kids that typically have to visit other neighborhoods to trick-or-treat.
Hot dogs, snacks, and drinks will be available on a suggested donation basis. All proceeds benefit the Black Forest Community Club for ongoing maintenance and improvements to the Community Center.
